Meals of Hope is a no-cost food pantry serving Hope Mills, North Carolina. Its mission is simple but powerful: fight hunger by providing free groceries—including canned goods, meats, and fresh produce—to anyone in need. Open several days each week, the pantry ensures local families never have to wonder where their next meal is coming from.

As one of our 40 Years of Caring: Sharing the Love Across NC recipients, Copiers Plus and Kyocera Document Solutions are thrilled for the opportunity to contribute $500 to Meals of Hope’s heartfelt mission!

A Deep Community Impact

Meals of Hope’s outreach, which is part of a ministry through the Hope Mills Methodist Church, provides peace of mind to parents and nourishment to children who might otherwise go without. In fact, over just the past five months, the organization has served more than 2,000 families!

“It is amazing to see the number of people this small organization provides food for each week,” remarked Lisa Oxendine, who nominated Meals of Hope as part of the 40 Years of Caring campaign.

But their mission goes beyond groceries. Meals of Hope delivers dignity and stability to those struggling to make ends meet.

Inspiring Stories from the Pantry

Every week, families walk through the food pantry’s doors looking for support. They leave not only with the supplies to cook a nourishing meal, but also with hope.

“I've seen the faces of people who come through the pantry,” shared Walter Thomson, Manager at Meals of Hope. “Helping them feel a sigh of relief for a few days so they can feed their family... that’s what it’s about.”

These small acts of kindness create lasting change across the community.

“[Meals of Hope] has a great impact on families,” Lisa added. “It’s difficult for a child to focus on school when they are hungry; it’s difficult for a parent to function when they are worried about providing for the basic needs of their family. Families can have a peace of mind knowing they have food to eat.”

How a $500 Donation Makes a Difference

Meals of Hope currently needs a commercial freezer to store meat and perishable items, which will allow them to feed even more families. The $500 donation they received as part of our 40 Years of Caring initiative will go a long way in helping them obtain the equipment necessary to continue growing and making a positive impact.
