As Copiers Plus and Kyocera Document Solutions celebrate four decades of business and service together, we’re proud to highlight Alpha Life Pregnancy Center as one of our 40 Years of Caring campaign recipients. Located in Raeford, NC, this incredible nonprofit brings hope and healing to women and families facing pregnancy-related challenges with compassion, mentorship, and practical support.
Alpha Life Pregnancy Center is dedicated to empowering women through life-affirming resources and supportive programs. Their mission is to walk alongside women and families navigating unplanned pregnancies, miscarriage, and post-abortion healing. Every service they offer is completely free and confidential.
Amber Gifford, who nominated Alpha Life Pregnancy and also serves as the center’s Office Manager, explained, “The team at Alpha Life, which is almost all volunteers, makes sure that no woman walks alone. We step up to be the village she needs when she doesn’t know how she’ll do it.”
In 2024, the center served 37 unique women and celebrated 17 new births. They also delivered over 250 life-changing services, including parenting classes, post-abortion and infant loss mentorship, and material assistance for things like diapers, clothing, and car seats. These initiatives help women and families overcome financial, emotional, and spiritual challenges to embrace a brighter future.

They also maintain a Benevolence Fund to assist women with housing and utility needs—especially important during times of increased homelessness for pregnant women.
Despite significant challenges, many of the women Alpha Life Pregnancy serves have furthered their education, advanced their careers, and achieved milestones like homeownership—all while consistently showing up for their children. With a deep and personal understanding of the challenges these mothers face, Amber Gifford finds this determination especially inspiring.
“Seeing the babies come into this world and how much their moms have overcome is incredible,” she said. “These women not only chose life, but they chose not to give up and are making positive parenting choices and working toward better futures for their families.”
As part of our 40 Years of Caring: Sharing the Love Across NC campaign, Alpha Life Pregnancy received a $500 donation from Copiers Plus, in partnership with Kyocera. Danita Cummins, Alpha Life Pregnancy Center Founder, explained the importance of this gift:
“We are incredibly honored to be selected by the 40 Years of Caring Committee and deeply thankful to Copiers Plus for awarding Alpha Life Pregnancy Center with a $500 scholarship donation. This generous gift helps provide real, life-changing support to the women and families we serve. Every dollar goes a long way—this funding will directly contribute to pregnancy tests, one-on-one counseling sessions, and parenting education classes.”
More specifically, she explained, this funding will cover:
“Because of [this] generosity, more women will walk through our doors feeling safe, supported, and empowered to make informed choices about their pregnancy,” Cummins continued. “Thank you, Copiers Plus, for partnering with us to make a difference where it matters most—in the heart of our community.”
