In this week’s People Behind The PLUS feature, we’d love to help you get to know Crystal Moore, Document Solutions Specialist and Sales Account Manager in our Asheville office. On a daily basis, Crystal helps businesses across western North Carolina learn about the Copiers Plus products and services that could benefit their organization. But there’s a lot more to know about Crystal, so read on!
Meet Crystal Moore
Crystal is a Brevard, NC, native and still resides there today with her husband and kids. She attended Brevard High School and Penn Foster High School and actually earned her diploma three years early, at the age of only 15! This achievement – coupled with the fact that she was the first in her family to graduate high school – is one of the accomplishments in her life of which she’s most proud.
After high school, Crystal continued her education in several different areas. She earned degrees as a medical claims and billing specialist from the U.S. Career Institute, dental assistant from Penn Foster Career School, and was also part of the National Society of Leadership and Success at Asheville Buncombe Technical College. A big proponent of positive thinking, Crystal is always looking to learn and improve in every aspect of her life.
These days, Crystal most loves spending time with her family. She has been married to her husband for 13 years and, as she describes it, he’s her ROCK, partner, best friend, and the love of her life. Together, they have three children: Elizabeth (Lizzy), age 11; Elijah (Eli) age nine; and Emi, age six. The Moore’s kids keep them busy! Lizzy is part of her middle school chorus and both Crystal and her husband are in their third year of volunteering as coaches for Eli’s soccer team.
Connecting With Copiers Plus
Before Crystal started working for Copiers Plus, she had a good idea what she was searching for in her next job. “I wanted to work for a company that would reward me for my hard work and dedication, while at the same time helping businesses in my community in a positive way,” she shared. Fortunately for us, it didn’t take Crystal long to realize that, at Copiers Plus, she could accomplish these goals and more!
Crystal researched Copiers Plus before submitting her application and was excited by several aspects of the company. She said, “I knew that a family-run business of this type meant a close-knit, hand-picked team that would be generous with support from top to bottom.” She added, “Copiers Plus is large enough to cover everything needed to be successful and still small enough to truly care about each employee and their success – both on and off the job.”
Crystal joined the team in July of 2023 and has since proved she is a dedicated, hard-working employee, and a valuable addition to the crew. As Document Solutions Specialist and Sales Account Manager, Crystal seeks out, researches, and connects with prospective businesses of all kinds that could benefit from Copiers Plus’s products and services. What she most likes about her job is knowing that she’s part of a team, in addition to having the opportunity to create a better life for herself and her family.
In the six months that Crystal has been part of the Copiers Plus family, she’s experienced the company’s strong team-focused culture and can already see a difference in herself. She revealed, “Since I started at Copiers Plus, I have become more confident and at ease when introducing myself to potential clients.” She mentioned that several of her colleagues have played significant roles in her professional development.
“My sales manager, Wendell Fortner, has been my biggest resource and an open book of sales knowledge. He’s taught me the ins-and-outs, dos-and-don’ts, and the how-tos of becoming a successful Sales Account Manager.” She added, “From day one, Kevin Oberman, VP of Sales, has encouraged me with positive motivation, sending me links to audiobooks and mailing me books that have helped me better my skills in my current position.” She also mentioned Sherrié Lucas, the company’s sales administrator, saying, “Shout out to Sherrié for the support and knowledge she has shared with me!”
However, Crystal brings a ton of her own outstanding qualities to the team. A self-described positive person, Crystal strives to approach everything she does with the four “E’s” – ethics, energy, eagerness, and enthusiasm. Additionally, her loyalty, tech ability, and great BIG smile are appreciated by co-workers and clients alike!
Crystal enjoys the excellent support at Copiers Plus, but ultimately, she’s most impressed by the entire company’s willingness to work together to assist its customers. “We at Copiers Plus truly care about our clients. By giving them more value for their money, great tech support, security, and peace of mind, we free them up so they can concentrate on making their business successful."
In her free time, Crystal loves spending time with her family and enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities, from relaxing on the beach to camping at the lake. She also likes listening to or reading books on positive thinking, and eating delicious food – in particular, crab legs, shrimp, and anything her husband cooks!
